In addition to the musical sets by top-tier electronic musicians from around the globe, the festival will feature 12 spectacular large-scale art installations along with extraordinary light and sound production. An intensely surreal assortment of over 200 performers, including dancers, fire twirlers and stilt walkers, will create a carnival for the eyes and ears that is unparalleled by any other music festival. Plus in the grand tradition of EDC, there will be a wonderful hodgepodge of attractions free for all ticket holders, including carnival rides: The Spider, Kamikaze, Music Fest, Mardi Gras, Super Shot, Crazy Coaster, Orbiter, Yo-Yo, Century Wheel, Bumper Cars, Giant Slide, G-Force and more.
Southern California’s premier electronic music experience for well over a decade, ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL had its biggest year ever in 2009 (its first as a two-day festival since it began in 1996), drawing over 135,000 attendees: 45,000 on Friday (June 26, 2009) and 90,000 on Saturday (June 27, 2009), with the latter figure ranking EDC as one of the largest single day attended music festivals in the U.S. “This summer's installment…promises to be just as big, and will feature, among others, Moby, MSTRKRFT, Steve Aoki, Deadmau5 and Z-Trip,” wrote Randall Roberts, music editor of the Los Angeles Times (May 30, 2010). “While Coachella, Bonnaroo and other massive rock and pop festivals have higher public profiles, the electronic dance music scene has been exploding. Fueled by a roster of parties and an inclusive philosophy that absorbs the sounds of rock, hip hop and pop music and transforms them via remixes into beat-heavy dance floor fodder, electronic dance music is virtually inescapable this summer.”
EDC also features a special VIP area and cabana packages. For more information on this, please visit the event’s website.
Tickets are available online now via www.insomniac.com and www.electricdaisycarnival.com as well as at select independent retail outlets. Two-day packages as well as individual tickets for each day are available.
