FIREBALL MINISTRY
SET TO PREMIERE VIDEO FOR FIRST SINGLE
“BUTCHER, FAKER, POLICY MAKER”
FRIDAY, JUNE 11,
ON AOL’S NOISECREEP
Los Angeles foursome FIREBALL MINISTRY are set to premiere the video for “Butcher, Faker, Policy Maker;” the first single off their recently released fourth album titled FIREBALL MINISTRY (Restricted Release). The video was shot late last month in Northern California and will debut on Friday, June 11 via AOL’s Noisecreep (http://www.noisecreep.com). In addition to the video debut, readers will find exclusive interviews with FIREBALL MINISTRY’s very own frontman REV. JAMES A. ROTA II and video director Brandon Trost (director of photography on Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2).
“For the new video, we were just playing and rocking and doing what we do,” says ROTA. “Brandon wanted to make a video that was reminiscent of the cinematography of [the movie] ‘Raging Bull.’ Most of us in the band are pretty bullish, so it worked out well.”
The stunning black-and-white performance-based video finds FIREBALL MINISTRY in a room of what appears to be an abandoned, still-under-construction home. While the camera effortlessly weaves its way through and around the band, the powerful clip highlights the passion and energy given off by each member and the group as a whole. Beautifully shot, “Butcher, Faker, Policy Maker” is surely a place where art meets rock.
In other news, FIREBALL MINISTRY are confirmed to play at Alex’s Bar in Long Beach (2913 East Anaheim Street) on Thursday, June 10, for a special performance to preview the Ink and Iron Festival. Wulfbane and DJ Small Paul will support.
Beloved by critics and hard rock fans across the globe, FIREBALL MINISTRY–REV. JAMES A. ROTA II (guitar, vocals), EMILY J. BURTON (guitar), JOHN ORESHNICK (drums) and JOHNY CHOW (bass)–re-teamed with renowned producer/engineer Andrew Alekel (Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters)–who they’d previously tapped for production work on FMEP (Bongload) and The Second Great Awakening (Nuclear Blast)–for the new album.
The new album, titled simply FIREBALL MINISTRY (Restricted Release), marks the follow-up to Their Rock Is Not Our Rock (Liquor & Poker) and is the group’s first release without a traditional label. FIREBALL MINISTRY was recorded at Grandmaster in Hollywood, with additional vocals tracked at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606.
