TEAM WITH ECOIST TO LAUNCH
TRASHed MIAMI :: ART, FASHION & RECYCLING
PRESS CONFERENCE SET IN MIAMI FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 25
As GLOBAL INHERITANCE continue their fight against rouge bottle and cans, the 501c3 non-profit organization will bring their TRASHed::RECYCLING STORE to the Ultra Music Festival–the two-day electronic music festival featuring performances by Tiësto, Deadmau5, David Guetta, Damian Marley & Nas, Groove Armada, Passion Pit, Little Boots, The Crystal Method, Calvin Harris and more–at Bicentennial Park this Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 in downtown Miami. The recycling store is an interactive recycling center powered by motivated people who recycle empty bottles, cans and biodegradable cups collected on-site in exchange for cool free merchandise. The more you turn in, the more points you earn and the more you can afford to “buy.” Featured merchandise includes PS3 games, Camelbak Bottles, music from Interscope artists, band merch, Ecoist bags, VIP passes and much more.
Global Inheritance is also set to launch TRASHed Miami::ART, FASHION & RECYCLING–the first ever recycling bin art fashion show representing the biggest names in fashion and art during Art Basel 2010. The talented individuals and brands involved will redesign over 75 (65 gallon) recycling bins for over 20 schools and community centers in the Miami area. Each fashion brand involved with the project will design a men’s and women’s recycling bin for the TRASHed Miami event.
On December 3, the redesigned recycling bins will hit the catwalk for a charity event previewing the entire collection for the first time. Global Inheritance will produce the event with the help of several sponsors and partners.
Global Inheritance and Ecoist will host a press conference in the Ecoist showroom on March 25, 2010 between 6pm – 9pm in which Ecoist will present their recycling bins. Ecoist merges design with social and environmental consciousness to provide stylish, functional, and durable products. Their handbags are made from recycled candy wrappers, food packages, soda labels, subway maps, newspapers, and other waste-bound materials.
