EUROPE’S HOTTEST ACT TO PERFORM MATERIAL FROM THEIR UPCOMING NEW ALBUM ‘SUPERNATURE’ AND EP RELEASE ‘NUMBER 1’
ON TOUR THIS FALL WITH COLDPLAY IN EUROPE
GOLDFRAPP’s illustrious live show, which has been greatly celebrated in Europe, will transport its audience to another world for an evening–strobe lights, dancers with mirrored horse heads and of course, the mesmerizing Alison decked out in full glam force. It’s a feast for the senses with not only their strong visual show, but Alison’s ethereal voice delivering new songs that appear on Supernature like “Ooh La La,” “Ride A White Horse” and “Number 1” along with ‘frapp favorites from their acclaimed previous releases Black Cherry and Felt Mountain.
Supernature will be released March 7, 2006 via Mute. Until then, the Number 1 EP—which in addition to the title song also features two previously unavailable songs and remixes by Tiefschwartz and Alan Braxe & Fred Falk–will be available via Mute as of November 1, 2005.
Meanwhile, Supernature has received an absolutely thunderous critical reception from the U.K. press, with the likes of NME calling it "The best pop album of 2005,” MOJO praising it with a 4-out-of-5 star review that stated “Sexy, sing-along electronica by people who care” and Q commenting "thrilling…Supernature sounds brilliantly here and now.” Marie Claire also weighed in with high praise by noting, "At last, a real talent to treasure. This is what it sounds like to be alive in 2005,” while Attitude noted, "If Mr. Warhol was still with us his favourite pop muse would, without a doubt, be Alison Goldfrapp."
The Nokia Theatre is located at 1515 Broadway in mid-town at 44th Street. Opening act is TBA. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, October 29 through Ticketmaster.
