Reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION will hit the road this summer with their friends Slightly Stoopid as the main support on the “Sounds of Summer 2017” tour. The two month cross-country outing–also featuring J Boog and The Movement–commences Thursday, June 8 in Glen Allen, VA with stops in Philadelphia, Boston, Brooklyn, Berkeley, Santa Barbara, Dallas, Houston, and Morrison, CO, among many other cities, before wrapping August 26. Tickets go on sale this week starting with artist and local presales running from Friday, March 3 through Thursday, March 9 with tickets available to the public beginning Friday, March 10 at 10am local time. Look for more dates on the tour to be announced soon.
“We are very excited to announce that we will be joining our brothers from Slightly Stoopid, J Boog and The Movement this summer on the Sounds of Summer 2017 Tour,” shares IRATION. “We have toured with The Movement before but this is our FIRST TOUR! with both Stoopid and Boog, which makes it very special. Plus, we love the Hot Rain band, so vibes are soaring at the moment. We look forward to seeing you this summer!”
IRATION released their all-acoustic album DOUBLE UP digitally December 2, 2016 via their own Three Prong Records. The 10-track album features a mix of the band’s hits from their previous releases, including “Reelin” off their most recent full-length Hotting Up (2015); “One Way Track” and “Back Around” from 2013’s Automatic; “Summer Nights” from their Fresh Grounds EP (2011); and “Time Bomb” and “Falling” off 2010’s Time Bomb. Both Hotting Up and Automatic peaked at #1 on Billboard‘s Reggae Albums Chart with Time Bomb reaching #2 on the chart. IRATION is currently in the studio working on new music.
The Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara-based group—Micah Pueschel (lead vocals/guitar), Adam Taylor (bass), Joseph Dickens (drums), Cayson Peterson (keyboard/synth) and Micah Brown (guitar/vocals)–recently wrapped their January-February headlining “Lost & Found Winter Tour” at the One Love Cali Reggae Festival at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Prior to launching their massive summer trek, IRATION will join Slightly Stoopid at the Reggae Rise Up Festival in St. Petersburg, FL this Saturday, March 4 and then support the Zac Brown Band at the Jackson Hole Rendezvous in Jackson Hole, WY on Saturday, March 18 before returning to California as a headliner at the California Roots Music and Arts Festival in Monterey, CA on Saturday, May 27.
