JO DEE–who released her own Christmas album A JOYFUL NOISE in 2002–will perform “Sleigh Ride” on the nationally-televised broadcast, which first aired in 1951 (the tree itself was first erected in 1933). She will also perform “Let It Snow” on New York’s WNBC, which will be seen locally from 7 to 8:00 PM ET and also feature José Feliciano and The Roots.
JO DEE will continue sharing the holiday spirit on Saturday (12/5) back home in Nashville, where she will perform two free shows (4:00 PM and 7:00PM) at the Brentwood United Methodist Church where fans are being asked to make donations to Harvest Hands Community Development Corporation (CDC), a non-profit, faith-based organization in South Nashville (http://www.harvesthandscdc.com/).
JO DEE will release a new single, “That’s God,” in January 2010 in advance of her first album in five years–UNMISTAKABLE, due in the spring on Curb. Since her last release, JO DEE has married and had her first child, a 10-month-old son named Noah. Due in the spring, UNMISTAKABLE (her fifth studio album) shows that JO DEE has fully come into her own as a songwriter and producer–she co-produced the whole album–and isn’t afraid to show her true colors. Since breaking onto the music scene in 1996, JO DEE has scored nine #1 country singles, sold over five million records, received two Grammy nominations and received various CMA and ACM awards. Her many hits include “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” “Bye Bye,” “I’m Alright,” “Stand Beside Me,” “That’s The Way” and “Bring On The Rain” (a duet with Tim McGraw).
