‘PROPHICATION’ EP
OUT SEPTEMBER 2 ON MAU5TRAP
Los Angeles-based DYLAN EILAND, more commonly known as DJ/producer LE CASTLE VANIA, is ready to release his first four-track EP on mau5trap on Monday, September 2. Having been announced by deadmau5 as the latest addition to his label, the PROPHICATION EP is the first chapter of LE CASTLE VANIA’s musical manifesto leading into a larger body of work in the future.
Kicking off with ominous intro track “Prophication,” the EP continues with “Raise the Dead,” which features vocals from Cory Brandan, frontman for Norma Jean. The following track, “Disintegration” features Ming as well as Lena Wolf, who contributes clean, uplifting vocals to the piece. “Incarnation” follows, a dramatic track which sees symphonic strings crescendo amidst EILAND‘s bombastic production. This EP holds no prisoners, showcasing LE CASTLE VANIA‘s deft production skills and canny knack for portraying drama and punk/rock aggression among gritty electronic beats and melodic synth leads.
EILAND has come a long way since his first production, the 2006 remix of Snowden’s “Black Eyes.” He has remixed the likes of Kaskade, La Roux, Vitalic, Dieselboy, Kill The Noise, Grum, Designer Drugs and more, and began turning his hand to original productions with his first single “Awake.” After more remixes, releases & live performances alongside artists including deadmau5, Justice, Nero, Eric Prydz & Steve Aoki, LE CASTLE VANIA began his own record label: Always Never. Now having completed his spring tour of Canada and the U.S with Dirtyphonics, Le Castle Vania is ready to unleash his debut EP to the world and in doing so is showing he is set to be a key artist on mau5trap and one to watch for 2013.
