ANNOUNCE VARIOUS EUROPEAN AND US TOUR DATES;
COMPLETE "PART TIM BURTON FANTASYLAND, PART REALITY"
VIDEO FOR 'SICK CYCLE CAROUSEL'
LIFEHOUSE–fresh off a sold-out run of American arenas with Everclear and Matchbox Twenty this past spring–have announced a series of summer dates in continued support of their platinum-certified debut NO NAME FACE (DreamWorks). The band are lined up to play several stateside radio festivals, after which they'll head to Europe for the better part of June where they'll play festivals (in six different countries) before returning to America for a month-long outing with Three Doors Down and Tantric (see attached for all confirmed dates).
Additionally, LIFEHOUSE recently shot a video with Marcos Siega (Blink 182, Papa Roach, Weezer) in Los Angeles for NO NAME FACE's "Sick Cycle Carousel," the follow-up to the band's massively successful "Hanging By A Moment" single (a Billboard #1 Modern Rock and top-five Hot 100 pop hit). The clip's fantastic and surreal concepts, which jointly came from the minds of lead singer JASON WADE and Siega, are what WADE hints as being "part Tim Burton fantasyland and part reality." WADE explains the song is about his relationship with a girlfriend and focuses on "the struggles of going through a relationship, of trying to communicate and going through all the things you go through to get to that point of real depth."
As NO NAME FACE remains a chart favorite–most recently reached #6 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart while currently remaining in the top 20 nearly seven months after its October 31, 2000 release–LIFEHOUSE (WADE, bassist SERGIO ANDRADE and drummer RICK WOOLSTENHULME) continue to amass critical praise, including a current Rolling Stone feature (Issue 870, 6/7/01). The Boston Globe's Steve Morse calls the record "a stunning debut for a band just out of their teens," and "a collection of disarmingly open, innocent questing, melodic rock songs, filled with internal dramas and alternative edges, such as touches of viola." Likewise, Cleveland, OH's Revue describes the album as "a sonic treat full of mid-tempo songs with penetrating lyrics."
