SET TO MAKE 'TONIGHT SHOW' DEBUT WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28;
'NO NAME FACE' SOARS TO #19 ON BILLBOARD'S
TOP 200 ALBUM CHART
WITH WEEKLY SALES IN EXCESS OF 55,000
With their gold-certified debut NO NAME FACE (DreamWorks) continuing its rapid ascent on the charts, LIFEHOUSE are confirmed to make their "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" debut Wednesday, March 28 on NBC-TV. The band–on a day off from the arena tour with Matchbox Twenty and Everclear–will perform NO NAME FACE's radio smash "Hanging By A Moment." Penned by 20-year old singer/guitarist/songwriter JASON WADE, the song has vaulted to #21 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart after only seven weeks. Previously, the song reached #1 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and is also currently Top 10 on Mainstream Rock. The "Hanging By A Moment" video is also receiving Top 10 rotation on VH1, MTV and MTV2, while NO NAME FACE has become the #1 rock record in Canada this week.
NO NAME FACE–featuring an array of evocative songs such as "Cling and Clatter," "Trying," "Somewhere in Between" and "Sick Cycle Carousel"–has now soared to #19 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart scanning in excess of 55,000 copies in one week alone. Of his songwriting, WADE says, "Most of my songs are therapeutic to me and a lot of the songs are puzzle pieces to the last five years of my life. It's just way for me to get out everything I can't really say to another person."
