LAS VEGAS – Since opening one year ago, LIGHT Nightclub at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, powered by Cirque du Soleil, has established itself as one of the most unique nightlife destinations on The Strip. Its weekly Wednesday industry night geared towards professionals and locals has been a hot draw, bringing thousands through its doors. Moving into its second year, LIGHT will offer another exclusive experience with BAAUER’s monthly residency Studio B, scheduled to launch Wednesday, May 14.
Studio B will be home to music that doesn’t always find its way into Las Vegas clubs and will feature a different guest each week. Guests will collaborate with BAAUER for rare live performances and new live show visuals created uniquely for BAAUER by SuS BoY. Guests know SuS BoY as the up-and-coming internet artist and web designer behind the artwork and visuals of a number of new and established producers and artists. The overall feel of LIGHT will be transformed to give a house party vibe with an all-new floor map as well as custom vignettes performed by Cirque du Soleil’s LIGHT performers.
Brooklyn, NY producer BAAUER, also known as Harry Rodrigues, was an important facilitator in the hip-hop production/dance music crossover of 2013, bringing the style to the forefront of the worlds psyche on a collaboration and tour with famed Jay Z producer, Just Blaze, on “Higher,” and a Billboard No.1 hit of his own in “Harlem Shake.” He is known for his cutting-edge productions seeped in trap and crunk and his remixes of UK duo Disclosure, No Doubt and Flosstradamus have shown off his skill as a producer across the entire spectrum of electronic music. BAAUER has been part of LIGHT’s resident family since doors opened last spring. Joining BAAUER for the debut of Studio B will be rapper A$AP Ferg of the hip-hop collective A$AP Mob.
