TEXAS’ LARGEST ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL
LIGHTS ALL NIGHT
CONCLUDES ITS FIFTH ANNUAL CELEBRATION
WITH SOLD-OUT ATTENDANCE OF 40,000
Electronic music fans from around the country celebrated at LIGHTS ALL NIGHT, the last major music event of 2014, this past Friday, December 26 and Saturday, December 27. Produced by Dallas-based Highland Concerts in conjunction with MCP Presents, the two-day festival was headlined by Skrillex, Zedd, Armin Van Buuren and Disclosure (DJ set) and drew a sold-out crowd of more than 40,000 fans over the weekend to the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, TX.
LIGHTS ALL NIGHT—sponsored by blu eCigs, Bud Light, Dallas Community College District, Red Bull, Purple–Dallas Purple Party and UBER--consisted of four stages featuring cutting-edge LED and lighting designs, 50+ artists and two silent discos. The communal affair brought international acts such as Boys Noize, DJ Snake, Zeds Dead, The Chainsmokers, DJ Mustard, Oliver Heldens, Seven Lions, Tchami, 12th Planet, Crizzly, Destructo, Audien, Paper Diamond and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, just to name a few, with some of these artists making their first time appearances in Texas. The festival also supported many Texan talents such as Paradise, Left Rights, Jack Bass x Riot Ten and The Hi-Yahs.
Look for LIGHTS ALL NIGHT to return in 2015.
LIGHTS ALL NIGHT in the press:
“Lights All Night celebrated its fifth year December 26-27 to the tune of the world’s most prestigious DJs and a sold-out crowd of 40,000 inside the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown. Whether they were there for a specific artist or to simply indulge in the experience, attendees were not disappointed…”
— Tiney Ricciardi, Dallas Morning-News 12/28/14
“In Texas, Dallas is the home of the state’s premier EDM event: the annual Lights All Night festival. Lights All Night, celebrating its fifth year, has not lost any pace in their goal to bring the world’s best in EDM to Dallas. It is also the fest’s second year occupying the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in downtown Dallas. The 2014 edition, taking place December 26 to 27, is no different than years past. The fest’s first night is headlined by global sensation Skrillex while featuring the likes of Zedd, Boys Noize and DJ Mustard. The second night is nothing to laugh at either. It’s headlined by trance icon Armin Van Buuren while also featuring a DJ set by Disclosure and performances by Zed’s Dead and the Chainsmokers. This is all in addition to dozens of other established and up-and-coming EDM acts. If you have any kind of interest in EDM whatsoever, then Lights All Night is the perfect place to dance your way into the new year.”
— James Khubiar, DALLAS OBSERVER 12/22/14
“If a fan of electronic dance music from a decade or two ago had been transported on Friday night to Lights All Night, Dallas’ largest EDM festival, they would have been in for a shock…It would have been over the genre’s post-dubstep love affair with hip-hop—through trap music, New Orleans bounce, Dirty South, and even classic old-school hip-hop—that radiated through the four stages set up inside the Dallas Convention Center like a seismic wave.”
— Cary Darling, Fort Worth Star-Telegram 12/28/14
“’Huge’ is the first thing that comes to mind when you walk into the ballroom holding the main stage (dubbed Mothership 2.0) of Lights All Night…It’s hard not to be impressed by what Lights All Night has managed to build over the last five years.”
— Cory Garcia, Houston Press 12/28/14
“Lights All Night is a growing festival that continues to get better and better each year. This year’s production and overall atmosphere provided the best festival experience of 2014.”
