THE HOTEL CAFÉ IN HOLLYWOOD THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19
The night before (Wednesday, February 18), LILI HAYDN will perform a musical set at the National Civil Rights Museum prior to their Los Angeles event screening of the Academy-Award nominated film short "The Witness: From The Balcony of Room 306." Following the screening, Museum Director Beverly Robertson and civil rights pioneer Reverend Samuel "Billy" Kyles will take the stage and thank everyone. In addition to the entertainment, film and meet and greet, there will be an on-going silent auction throughout the evening with all proceeds benefiting the museum. This is a private, non-media event.
HAYDN’s Hotel Café and National Civil Rights Museum performances will follow her recent appearance at the International Green Shield, a music/film charity benefit for hurricane relief and a trip to Park City, UT during the Sundance Film Festival in January. There she celebrated the Sundance Selection film Over The Hills And Far Away–for which she composed the score–with several high-profile appearances.
She performed at Air America’s West Coast Pre-Inaugural party, the Skype And Earth Friendly Products Host Inauguration and the Sundance Music In Film Night–along with STEW and Billy Bob Thorton & The Boxcutters—where she was joined by John Densmore of The Doors. HAYDN also participated along with luminaries such as Trudie Styler, Beau St. Clair, Mary Ann Bruni, Liz Garbus and others for the Women In Film “Social Consciousness:” panel as well as participated on BMI’s Filmmakers/Composers panel.
