NINE INCH NAILS AND THE SECRET MACHINES JOIN THE OCTOBER 30 EVENT IN MEMPHIS’ AUTOZONE PARK

“VOODOO ON BEALE STREET” FREE CONCERT SERIES
VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE is proud to announce that Nine Inch Nails and the Secret Machines will join the lineup as headliners of the October 30 event in Memphis’ AutoZone Park. As previously announced, the fundraising event will also feature performances from the following artists: Cake, North Mississippi Allstars, New York Dolls, Carl Cox, Better than Ezra, The Decemberists, HIM, Cowboy Mouth, Mindless Self Indulgence and many more.
“We had some logistical issues to work through with Nine Inch Nails, but it is a tribute to Trent’s commitment to this project that they will be part of the Memphis lineup” says festival producer Stephen Rehage, “We know that with their support and the continued support of our fans, who have stayed with us through a lot this year, that we can raise the crucially-needed funds to help rebuild our hometown of New Orleans.”
Sunday’s Memphis concert will also include performances by Cake, North Mississippi Allstars, New York Dolls, Carl Cox, Better than Ezra, The Decemberists, HIM, Cowboy Mouth and Mindless Self Indulgence. It will mark the final night of celebrations in Memphis, where music fans throughout the city can enjoy the “Southern Comfort Presents Voodoo on Beale Street,” a series of free concert events which will take place in downtown from October 27-30. Legendary New Orleans acts Dr. John, The Neville Brothers and recently added headliner Soul Asylum will descend upon the city for four nights of concerts at the Beale Street Stage in Handy Park. Proceeds from this year’s VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE will benefit the New Orleans Restoration Fund, a donor-advised fund of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. The New Orleans Restoration Fund will work closely with the Mayor and his administration in conjunction with BringNewOrleansBack.org, a fund set in place by the city to help promote businesses and encourage residents to return and rebuild in New Orleans. Beneficiaries of the New Orleans Restoration Fund include Habitat for Humanity, Mercy Corps, Bring New Orleans Back, WWOZ 90.7 FM, New Orleans Roots Radio, YA/YA, Inc. (Young Aspirations/Young Artists), and Audubon Nature Institute, a private, not-for-profit member organization with a collection of world-class family institutions dedicated to “Celebrating the Wonders of Nature.”
