OZZY OSBOURNE
NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY FOR
“BEST HARD ROCK PERFORMANCE”
FOR “LET ME HEAR YOU SCREAM” TRACK
FROM HIS JUNE 2010
‘SCREAM’ ALBUM
Two-time Grammy Award winner OZZY OSBOURNE stepped off stage last night at New York’s Madison Square Garden to news that was nominated for a Grammy Award for “Best Hard Rock Performance” for the “Let Me Hear You Scream” track from his June 2010 release SCREAM (Epic Records). “Let Me Hear You Scream”–co-written and co-produced by OZZY–was a #1 single on both the Active Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, and this Grammy nod marks OZZY’s fourth Grammy nomination in his career.
SCREAM–his first album in three years and 10th studio album overall–entered the charts in the Top Ten in more than 10 countries, including the U.S. (#4).
Here’s what some critics had to say about “Let Me Hear You Scream”:
"The single 'Let Me Hear You Scream' gallops with neck-snapping ferocity, while sludgy grooves put some muscle behind 'Soul Sucker' and 'Fearless.'"
–Gary Graff, Billboard, July 31, 2010
"That sweat-and-danger attitude carries into 'Let Me Hear You Scream,' which combines thrash metal with a tempo that would allow Scream dance-hall success…This is heavy, stairway-to-hell music that demands more volume than your ears should hear."
–Dan Aquilante, New York Post, June 15, 2010
“The highlight is the fist-pumping first single, ‘Let Me Hear You Scream,’ on which, against a blitzkrieg of snarling guitars, the Ozzster works up a real rebel yell.”
—People Magazine, July 5, 2010
"The lead single ‘Let Me Hear You Scream,’ with its mega-chorus and insane guitar solo should prove perfect for arena madness…"
–Kevin O’Hare, The Republican (Springfield, MA), June 21, 2010
