PAPA ROACH SLOTTED FOR LIMP BIZKIT/EMINEM TOUR
FOLLOWING HEADLINING EUROPEAN TREK;
BAND WILL PERFORM NEW SINGLE “BROKEN HOME”
MONDAY, OCTOBER 16 ON THE TONIGHT SHOW
With their debut CD INFEST (DreamWorks) already multiplatinum in the U.S., PAPA ROACH are set to conquer Europe with a headlining jaunt which runs from October 4 through 14. This seven-city trek comes on the heels of constant touring in the U.S. and Canada, as well as a key performance on the MTV Video Music Awards last month. Later this month, PAPA ROACH—COBY DICK (vocals), JERRY HORTON (guitar), TOBIN ESPERANCE (bass) and DAVID BUCKNER (drums)–will take their powerful live show to arenas when they join Limp Bizkit and Eminem on the “Anger Management” tour, kicking off October 19 at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ and wrapping up in mid-December.
PAPA ROACH continue to infiltrate radio and television. Their new single “Broken Home”–which they’ll be performing Monday, October 16 on The Tonight Show– breaks into the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart this week, where it sits alongside “Last Resort,” which held the #1 spot for seven consecutive weeks. “Last Resort” has also held fast at Mainstream Rock, remaining on the chart for 23 weeks and is currently posted at #5. Meantime, the video for “Broken Home”–once again lensed by Marcos Siega–is in rotation at MTV. The clip for “Last Resort” continues to garner plays at MTV as well, after remaining in the Top 5 at “Total Request Live” for multiple weeks.
The band also graces the current cover of Alternative Press (October issue). In the feature, COBY explained how “Broken Home” was written from personal experiences and has provided a catharsis of sorts: “This is my counseling…in essence. I think by writing these lyrics I’ve found a way to finally deal with it…maybe this whole situation with my father and my family happened because I was supposed to write this song and help kids feel like they’re not alone. It’s something they can connect with and maybe feel better in a weird way. It’s not going to bring their father back, but it’s like dealing with it, thinking about it, finding a way to get through it.”
