French rock outfit DEAD SEXY INC. (DSI)—now currently based in Paris and Berlin—is heading west this March. With appearances on tap for Canadian Music Week in Toronto and SXSW in Austin, the electro/punk trio is excited to return to North America to unveil material from their highly acclaimed European release Kamikaze (Enrage Production) and other songs from their repertoire.
Well known for their hardcore hybrid of glam rock and electro disco punk sounds, DEAD SEXY INC.—EMMANUEL H. (vocals, guitar, keyboard), STEPHANE H. (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and ALEXIS G. (drums, vocals)—first made their mark in America in Hollywood in 2003, where the trio got picked up by techno pioneer Larry Tee and Cleopatra Records. After releasing their first EP Break Me (Electro Shock) stateside and in Germany and France, the band toured intensely, visiting more than 20 countries throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
They’ve also appeared at Numero Festival in Porto (with Miss Kittin and Fisherspooner), Decadance in Tokyo, CMJ in New York and Popkomm in Berlin. They’ve also made appearances at the Sarajevo Film Festival, Printemps de Bourges in France, the Latitude Festival in the UK, Maoclub in Beijing and opened for Vitalic at La Cigale in Paris last year. Remixes of such artists as Marilyn Manson, Indochine and Nun have garnered DEAD SEXY INC. a great deal of attention in both the U.S and Europe.
