AT SIX FLAGS PARKS

SIX FLAGS and mtvU, MTV's 24-hour college network, have joined forces once again to bring some of the hottest acts on the college music scene to SIX FLAGS parks with the mtvU Video Music Awards Tour. This makes the third year of the collaboration and the 2009 featured acts are All Time Low and The White Tie Affair with special guests Teen Island appearing at select SIX FLAGS parks (dates below). Since the launch of the SIX FLAGS/mtvU series in 2007, top artists such as Plain White T's, Secondhand Serenade, Boys Like Girls, Metro Station and Katy Perry have graced the stage, providing a one-of-a-kind concert event for fans of all ages who like to be on the cutting-edge of new music.

Meanwhile, the 2009 SIX FLAGS SUMMER CONCERT series is comprised of more than 120 concerts encompassing a diverse mix of top names in the genres of Pop, Rock, R&B, Country and Christian. These concerts at SIX FLAGS parks across the country continue to provide a value-packed live music experience, as each show is included in the price of park admission. Some of the 2009 SIX FLAGS Summer Concert Series acts include Colbie Caillat, Metro Station, The Academy Is, Peter Frampton, Sean Kingston, LeAnn Rimes, Yes, Flo Rida, CeCe Winans, Jesse McCartney, Gym Class Heroes, Drake Bell, Mitchel Musso, Boys Like Girls, Everclear, The Veronicas, Kirk Franklin, Plain White T's, Billy Ray Cyrus, Augustana, Lee Greenwood, Asia, The Charlie Daniels Band, and Raven-Symoné.

About the mtvU VMA 2009 tour bands:

Pop punk band All Time Low’s Nothing Personal album (Hopeless Records) was released in July 2009 and debuted at #4 on the Billboard Album Chart. The Maryland quartet’s are also 2008 Woodie Award nominees and were named Alternative Press magazine's Band of the Year 2008 and appeared on the cover of the magazine's January 2009 issue.

Pop rock/electronica band The White Tie Affair (TWTA) hail from Chicago, Illinois. Their debut album Walk This Way was released in April 2008 on Epic Records/Slightly Dangerous. The album features the singles “Allow Me To Introduce Myself…Mr. Right” and “Candle (Sick and Tired),” both of which have been featured on MTV's TRL and The Hills.

Teen Island is comprised of the trio of soon-to-be pop stars Kristinia DeBarge, Jessie James, & Justin Beiber.
