THIS JUST IN: As STAIND prepare for the follow-up to their quadruple platinum BREAK THE CYCLE, AARON LEWIS has signed the first band, Lo-Pro, to his new imprint in conjunction with Geffen President Jordan Schur. Lo-Pro’s debut album is being recorded in Los Angeles at NRG Studios with producer Don Gilmore and is due out this summer. The Southern California-based band was founded by former Ultraspank members Pete Murray (vocals) and Neil Godfrey(guitar). The two are joined in Lo-Pro by former Godsmack drummer Tommy Stewart and Pete Ricci (guitar). Meanwhile, the as-yet-untitled STAIND album is set for a late spring release. Produced by Josh Abraham (who also did the honors for BREAK THE CYCLE), the album is being recorded in Los Angeles and Miami. Stay tuned for additional details…
