MAKES SPECIAL APPEARANCE
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19
ON NBC-TV’S “TODAY SHOW”;
TYLER TO ALSO BE FEATURED ON NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL'S "INCREDIBLE HUMAN MACHINE," AIRING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21
Look for STEVEN TYLER to make a very special appearance this Friday (October 19) on NBC-TV’s “Today Show.” He will be joined by Dr. Steve Zeitels whose recent state-of-the-art laser technology surgery successfully repaired TYLER’s vocal chords to the point where he is singing stronger than ever.
TYLER’s “Today Show” appearance comes in advance of this Sunday’s airing (October 21, 9:00 PM, ET/PT) of National Geographic Channel’s Incredible Human Machine, which takes viewers on an intricate two-hour guided tour inside the human body from head to toe.
To demonstrate the power of human speech, Incredible Human Machine goes from TYLER’s operation to footage backstage at an AEROSMITH concert to evaluate stress on his vocal cords. In what represents a historical first, MIT and Mass General researchers are able to conduct real time measures of TYLER in front of more than 20,000 people at one of the band’s hometown sold-out shows at the Tweeter Center in Boston. For the concert, TYLER was fitted with a vest to monitor his bionic-type vital readings (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels/lung capacity and body temperature) to show the impact of what his body endures during an AEROSMITH performance. Additionally, the program will include high-definition photos of TYLER’s larynx during the operation, as well as photos of his larynx before, during and after the live show. With no roadies to change TYLER’s “strings,” viewers are taken behind the scenes to watch as state-of-the-art laser technology repairs some broken capillaries on TYLER’s vocal chords to help his finely tuned vocal cords spring back into action.
