ED'S BACK!: Keyboardist EDDIE HAWRYSCH of THE BLACK CROWES returned to the stage on Tuesday, July 6 in Berlin, Germany after missing eight shows due to emergency surgery he underwent to correct a twisted intestine. Performing favorites such as "Jealous Again," "Remedy" and "Go Faster" (the newly-released single from the band's critically acclaimed BY YOUR SIDE album), EDDIE took his place alongside the rest of the group–CHRIS ROBINSON, vocals; RICH ROBINSON, guitars, vocals; STEVE GORMAN, drums; bassist SVEN PIPIEN; and touring guitarist AUDLEY FREED–who had been keeping his seat warm onstage every night by setting up a six-foot inflatable green alien at his keyboards. THE BLACK CROWES are in the midst of their European tour which will last through July 30, when the band performs in Japan at the Fuji Rock Festival. Meanwhile, look for the band to launch another round of headlining dates in the U.S. in the fall. Dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
