“SUPERNOVA GOES POP”: Two sold-out nights at The Palace in Los Angeles proved to be the perfect setting for filming a video for POWERMAN 5000‘s brand new single “Supernova Goes Pop.” This track marks the third single from the band’s platinum DreamWorks CD TONIGHT THE STARS REVOLT!. Lead vocalist SPIDER ONE took over as director for the clip which mainly features live footage. He also co-directed the band’s current video for “Nobody’s Real.” In the April issue of Alternative Press which features PM5K on the cover, writer Todd Lowe comments on the utter crowd frenzy at an earlier L.A. gig: “Guitarist Adam 12’s distorted sonics, propelled on a current of M.33’s rhythm guitar, ricochet off the room’s hull. Stabilized by the steady energy-pulses of Dorian 27’s bass and Al 3’s barrels, Spider One is free to issue crossfire…Suddenly, the pit rings that are orbiting invisible planets spontaneously generate.” In other news, PM5K–also featuring ADAM 12 (guitar), M.33 (guitar), DORIAN 27 (bass) and AL 3 (drums)–have recorded a new song called “The End Is Over” for the forthcoming soundtrack to 20th Century Fox’s animated feature film Titan A.E. The soundtrack is due for release this summer on Java Records. Also look for PM5K to return to the road April 15 when they’ll kick off a month-long European tour with Pantera. Next, the group will head to Japan and Australia for dates and will return to the U.S. for a summer tour (dates TBA). Current tour dates are as follows:
