Earning rave reviews for their acclaimed self-titled debut album–which has achieved Top Ten status on the Americana Airplay chart and reached #2 on the Roots Music Report (country) chart–WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE look forward to an eventful spring and summer on the road. It starts with two performances set for “Dylan Fest Nashville”–a musical celebration of Bob Dylan’s 75th birthday-at the Ryman Auditorium on May 23 and 24 alongside Jason Isbell, Kacey Musgraves, Nikki Lane and more. Tickets are available now here.
“Years ago, Bob Dylan wrote me a song and I have never forgotten that,” says Wynonna. “I still have it…I kept it as a treasure. He is a poet. He is relevant to every generation because he’s authentic. He has never conformed to musical fads and has always maintained a true sense of self. He’s a stylist. You know whose record it is three second in. He’s timeless…I’m looking so forward to celebrating him.”
Says Cactus Moser, WYNONNA’s producer, longtime drummer and husband who leads The Big Noise: “To be on the Dylan Fest is a 40-year dream come true. His Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid and Time Out Of Mind albums are two of my great influences. He’s The American Icon influence for all of us 70s kids.”
Coming of their three strong performances in Marchat SXSW, American music icon WYNONNA and her band THE BIG NOISE will continue on the road throughout the summer with select headlining shows and various festival performances, including the Red Ants Pants Music Festival (lineup mates include The Lone Bellow, Hurray for the Riff Raff and The Mavericks), Faster Horses Music Festival (alongside Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Gary Allan and others) and Live Oak Music Festival (with Sarah Jarosz, James McMurtry and Jay Farrar), among others. More information on purchasing tickets can be found here See below for full list of upcoming dates.
“There is always a really joyful and celebratory vibe of outdoor shows,” says Wynonna. “The freedom of being outdoors allows my spirit to fly! AND!!! When the walls come down, Wynonna & The Big Noise can get even louder!!!! I am so RED-y to rock!!!!!!”
“To be on festivals this summer like Red Ants Pants with artists we are fans of as well as friends with is the BEST SUMMER vacation!!” says Cactus. “The Mavericks and Ray Wiley Hubbard just to name a couple! DELIGHTED!”
Currently at Americana radio is the co-penned Chris Stapleton song “Ain’t No Thing,” the latest single from WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE‘s self-titled album (via CURB Records), which has been described as raw, rootsy, joyful, tough and tender. They performed the song in February on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” which marked their national late-night TV debut. Click here to watch the performance video of “Ain’t No Thing.“

Media Praise for WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE:
“…the self-titled Wynonna & The Big Noise brings a raw, unvarnished approach to the album’s dozen tracks, which run the gamut from gutsy blues to sweet, Seventies-inspired country-pop. While the LP is a natural for the wide-open Americana format, Wynonna’s legions of country fans will feel right at home…”
“Wynonna & The Big Noise lays bare the joy that is Judd’s most potent gift as a vocalist…Wynonna’s in the big field now. But she was always there anyway, with her magnificently versatile alto and penchant for both belting and swooning. With her tight band behind her after touring together for several years, she just sounds like she’s home…You can just feel the grin on her face.”
“Wynonna sounds as good as ever…On her first album fronting a band, Wynonna brings the noise, for sure; but she also offers a master class on how to instill feeling into songs arranged in a variety of musical styles.”
“Singer Wynonna Judd opens a new chapter in her long career with her forthcoming album Wynonna & The Big Noise, her first with a full band of her own…the sound, however, is a departure, more stripped to the bone and rootsy, more contemporary American…”
“…a celebration of love. In talking with the country songstress, one gets the feeling she is at a blissful point in her life where she has wanted to be for a long time — and it can be heard glowingly on each track…What sets the disc — her first of non-covers since 2003’s What The World Needs Now Is Love — apart is that it is truly a band effort recorded with her four-man ensemble.“
“Although she’s never been away, this feels like a comeback for Wynonna Judd…this is primarily Wynonna and her band collaborating on a set of first-class songs that succeed by sounding far more rootsy, earthy and raw than in the past…it’s yet additional proof of her tough/tender, sassy/sensitive vocal prowess and arguably the finest release of her extensive career. 4 out of 5 stars.”
