WYNONNA’S CMA FEST XPERIENCE
INCLUDING MULTIPLE LIVE SHOWS & MORE
30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE JUDDS
THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 1
WYNONNA JUDD has announced her plans for next week’s annual CMA MUSIC FEST in Nashville, TN. It will surely be a week to remember when the multi-platinum five-time Grammy winner WYNONNA gives her fans an up-close and personal seat to it all by performing three intimate shows and engaging with them at a live performance Q&A and autograph session.
With their storied career and chart-topping hits, Saturday, June 1 marks the 30th anniversary of The Judds, the iconic, multi-platinum and Grammy-winning duo who blazed trails in country music.
The fun in Nashville kicks off Monday, June 3 with a sold-out intimate acoustic show at the world famous Bluebird Café. On Wednesday, June 5 she’ll perform a rockin’ set with her band The Big Noise at 3rd & Lindsley. Then, on Friday, June 7 the legendary entertainer joins her fans for “The Wy Xperience”: an acoustic show, Q&A and autograph session at CMA’s Close-Up Stage in Fan X at Nashville’s brand new Music City Center. More info on these events can be found here: http://www.wynonna.com/news.html?n_id=851.
“My vision was to create a week for my fans where they could experience many musical sides of me and in as many different venues as possible,” says WYNONNA. “We’ve been together for 30 years, so finding a way to connect with each of them is always so important to me. I’m looking forward to having some fun and shaking things up next week!”
Leading up to CMA week, WYNONNA encouraged her fans to participate. For her new single “Something You Can’t Live Without,” she asked fans to post a picture on Facebook or Twitter of something they can’t live without, and 12 winners won a pair of tickets to her upcoming CMA shows in Nashville. Fans also got a chance to vote between two options for the official WYNONNA t-shirt that would be on sale throughout the week. In return for such a close vote and quite a positive response to each of the designs, both shirts will be made available! In celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Judds, WYNONNA is offering up meet & greet passes for the fans who dig deep into their closets and break out their best Judds apparel from throughout their career, and best-dressed fans in the CMA crowd will be invited to meet WYNONNA.
WYNONNA recently performed on the season finale of “Dancing With The Stars,” where she was a contestant earlier in the season. Since her time on the show came to a close, WYNONNA returned home to Nashville and continues working on her forthcoming full-length album, produced by her husband/drummer Cactus Moser and set for release later this year on Curb Records. This album–her first with all new material in over four years–is being recorded in her own home studio and is deeply personal, especially noting the life-changing accident the couple experienced last year. The first single, “Something You Can’t Live Without,” out now, was co-written by Moser and hitmaker David Lee Murphy and serves as a reminder of WYNONNA and Cactus’ unwavering love for each other.
WYNONNA and her band The Big Noise–which includes Moser behind the drum kit–will continue touring throughout the summer. All current dates are listed here below and tickets are available at www.wynonna.com/the-road.html.
